Freeride update... I got a new 24" rear wheel for my Kona Stinky. It's a much wider rim, and that let me put a more burly 2.7" tire on. I also had it powdercoated (bright orange!) at Salem Powdercoat. The more sturdy rear wheel means I can huck off of higher stuff without worrying about it tacoing (as easily)! Can't wait to try it out this Saturday!

Hey Joe, What a nice bike! What does something like this run in price and is it street worthy also? Elaine
This is an '04 Kona Stinky. Around $1,000. It's got lots of suspension, and therefore isn't good for riding around town (you'd be going boingy-boingy and loosing pedal power that would be better put into turning the wheels) - and the geometry puts the front-end up higher (great for when going down very steep hills). This bike is for ripping, tearing, grinding, and dropping off the face of the earth... But is not a street cruiser.
Kona does make some excellent street bikes as well. Check out http://konaworld.com for what else they got, or drop by your local bike shop to chat with a friendly neighborhood bike person.
