Took the day off today to go help Jason Franz (of Fall Line Sports in Silverton) with his recently ODF approved "mountain bike only" freeride trails. Pictured here is Jason and Vince along with Jason's daughter overseeing the work progress. The day started out with SNOW(!?) then turned to rain then the fog came... and then it finally stopped raining (about the time we were done working for the day). Shellburg Falls is located on opposite side of Willamette valley from where Blackrock trails are. It's about the same amount of time to get to these trails from Salem, but during the spring/summer months Shellburg trails can be shuttled because ODF leaves the west gate open (accessible from Silver Falls highway).
