Local Progression Riders Video...
It's been exactly one month since the premiere of my "Local Progression Riders Video" at the Northern Lights Theatre Pub for the Blackrock Freeride Association fundraiser.
And, just today (over my lunch break), I delivered the first "PG" version of the DVD (sans certain explitives, one music track replacement, and minus a shot of someone flipping off the camera) to the Oregon Department of Forestry office in Salem. John Barnes, the ODF recreation coordinator for this area, wanted to show it to his staff so they could get an idea of what we're all up to out there at Blackrock. He attended the premiere at N.Lights and told me then that the video "captured the spirit of freeriding at Blackrock". That's a pretty cool compliment to get, since that's almost exactly what I wanted to accomplish by making that video!
It sure was a lot of work putting that video all together. I think I'm a bit burned out on it. Haven't taken my camera out to the trails in a couple months! Now, just focused on finishing up building the Basic Training area at Blackrock (more on that later), and then riding... Gotta practise if I want to progress!
